A Brief Biography of Dr. Wilber Wallis

Dr. Wallis is Professor Emeritus of New Testament at Covenant Theological Seminary, having served in the New Testament Department of the Seminary from its founding until his retirement in 1982. Continuing as a lecturer, he is known for his comprehensive knowledge of the Greek Language and insight into the unity of the Old and New Testaments.

In 1969 the Evangelical Theological Society published the first of several papers by Dr. Wallis. In 1980 he was honored by being elected President of the Evangelical Theological Society. His last published papers appeared in 1994, 1995, and 1996. Dr. Wallis read a paper to the Society in 1998 when he has 86 years old. He is also a contributor to the five-volume Zondervan Pictorial Encyclopedia of the Bible.

Dr. Wallis received his B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles, his B.D. and S.T.M. from Faith Theological Seminary, his M.A. from Columbia University and his Ph.D. from Dropsie University.
